Adani Energy has written to Vijay Singhal, Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Electrical energy Distribution Corp (MSEDCL), for releasing dues of Rs 10,135 crore following the interim order handed by the Supreme Courtroom on January 31, 2022.
“We request you to kindly launch Rs 10,135 crore, being 50 per cent of excellent claimed quantity on or earlier than 28.2.2022 and adjust to the Hon’ble Supreme Courtroom order,” Adani Energy acknowledged within the letter. MSEDCL has to pay Adani Energy inside 4 weeks from the time the order was delivered.
Listening to dani Energy’s utility, the Supreme Courtroom bench of Chief Justice NV Ramana and Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Hima Kohli warned that if distribution corporations like MSEDCL fail to clear dues, then corporations should shut down energy era.
