BENGALURU: Displaying sluggish tempo of labor, the Bangalore Metro Rail Company Ltd (BMRCL) has terminated a contract price Rs 500 crore with its contractor Simplex Infrastructures Ltd. The agency was finishing up work alongside the elevated hall of Kalena Agrahara (previously Gottigere) to Nagawara Line of Part-II. The elevated portion runs for 7.5 km from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere (Swagath Highway Cross). The termination was effected on January 29.

“The Attain-6 elevated line contract has been terminated on account of persevering with non-performance and the implementation date being behind many key dates. The work carried out to this point within the Rs 500-crore challenge quantities to solely Rs 175 crore,” stated BMRCL Managing Director Ajay Seth confirming the event.

Nevertheless, the contract with Simplex Infrastructures for Part-I’s Attain-3 extension continues, the MD stated. “Works price Rs 75 crore are to be accomplished on this stretch,” he stated.

The 3-km Inexperienced Line extension runs between Hesaraghatta Cross and Madavar (previously Bangalore Worldwide Exhibition Centre). The three stations of Manjunathanagar, Chikkabidarakallu and Madavar determine on this stretch.
