NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a destructive observe on Friday.

Shares of Escorts Kubota(up 2.69 per cent), Bharat Forge(up 2.01 per cent), TIINDIA(up 1.38 per cent), TVS Motor Firm(up 1.06 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(up 0.55 per cent) ended the day as prime gainers within the pack.

However, Hero MotoCorp(down 1.79 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(down 1.73 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.16 per cent), Bajaj Auto(down 1.11 per cent) and Tata Motors(down 1.1 per cent) completed as the highest losers of the day.

The Nifty Auto index closed 0.34 per cent down at 13220.65.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 3.35 factors at 17539.45, whereas the BSE Sensex stood up 36.74 factors at 58803.33.

Among the many 50 shares within the Nifty index, 15 ended within the inexperienced, whereas 35 closed within the pink.
