Mysore/Mysuru: Prof. D.S. Achuta Rao Memorial Lecture might be delivered tomorrow (July 1) at 10.30 am in Junior BA Corridor, Maharaja’s School, Mysuru.

Dr. M. Jamuna, former Historical past Professor, Bangalore College, will ship a lecture on ‘Bangalore Cantonment: Patterns of Spatial Organisation.’

Prof. Anita Vimla Braggs, Principal, Maharaja’s School, will preside over the operate.

Prof. D.S. Achuta Rao graduated with an MA in Historical past from Maharaja’s School. He taught Historical past throughout 1939 to 1965 at Mysore College. He was a famend researcher on Mysore Historical past.

His collected works ‘Mysore Historical past Earlier than 1800’ and his seminal work ‘Administrative and Social Historical past of Mysore underneath the Wodeyars’ have been translated to Kannada by historians Dr. S.
